Rapitank

A Rapitank is simply a Rapidam formed into a closed container with an integral groundsheet.
 
Rapitanks can be made into any size and can have inlet and outlet flanges built into the corners to allow easy filling and emptying.
 
For practical purposes the largest single-piece Rapitank will be 6.3m x 9m x 1m high, giving a capacity of 56,700 litres. This Rapitank will fit onto a standard pallet and can be transported around a site by forklift or pallet trolley.
 
It can be lifted into placed by four men and erected in a matter of minutes.
 
Larger units can be achieved by use of the Rapizip or shot-gun joining strips used on the Rapidam or by simply "daisy-chaining" a number of single-piece units together using the inlet and outlet flanges.
Over-pumping would be another obvious option.
 
Rapitank is made from a 650g PVC coated linen fabric and can be made in any size from 225 litres up to a maximum single-piece size of 56,700 litres, as above. It as anti-UV andfungicide additives included in the manufacturing stage
 
A 2,000 litre tank weighs 15Kg, a 4,500 litre tank will weigh 26Kg and a 6,000 litre tank 32Kg. All can be folded flat and stored in an optional valise bag for ease of handling.
 
 
  Rapitanks can be used for a number or purposes.
  • A temporary liquid store
    • Potable and non-potable liquids
    • As an emergency fish tank
  • As a temporary water filtration unit (with external water filter)
  • As a temporary desalination plant.
  • To contain spillages
    • The fabric can be pre-treated to withstand a number of chemicals.
  • As a vehicle cleaning unit in car washes or exhibition halls.
  • As a decontamination unit
    • To was down contaminated personnel and vehicles
    • To cool down dangerous containerised pollutants
  • To hold fire water run off which may be contaminated
