Critical Infrastructure

Critical Infrastructure at risk of flooding

After the severe flooding in the summer of 2007 when a number of power and pumping stations got very close to catastrophic failure the Environment Agency embarked on a study of England's critical infrastructure and uncovered some startling facts summarised in the table below.
 
Crucially several reservoirs were also on the brink of catastrophic failure. Some of our solutions could help to prevent these dangers in the future.
